What is “The Secret” and will it Work for Me?

About 6 months ago I purchased the “Release Technique” online. I was at a point where my whole life was basically reduced to “Am I going to make enough money today to pay my bills?” And this is a lousy way to live your life. Because there are a whole lot of things more important than money. Well, unless you do not have any, because then it becomes VERY important!

The release technique worked well. Actually my husband and I listened to it before going to bed each night. We slept better and definitely were a little less stressed than we were before we started using it. But, I wanted more.

So, I started researching the technique online and I ran across “The Law of Attraction” which, of course, led me to “The Secret”.

After watching “The Secret” I was hooked! It is actually kind of interesting that for the past few years when my sales company was not bring in the required sales, we found that if I left town for a few days, sales started flowing in the door. I always felt that the negative stressful feelings running through me at the time prohibited good things from happening. Once I was gone, so was the negative and sales would start pouring in the door.

The idea behind “The Secret”, “The Law of Attraction” and “The Release Technique” follows the same guideline. I cannot say it as well as they do, but basically they teach you that 1) we’re all part of the same universal energy and 2) like attracts like.

So, if you worry all the time and are constantly stressing that everything bad always seems to happen to you then you are sending a message to the universe that it should be sending bad things your way. On the other hand, if you constantly expect good things to happen, then that is exactly what the universe will send you.

Have you ever met someone that seems to be a “lightening rod” for trouble? Talk to them for awhile and listen to what they say. You will probably hear a lot of doom and gloom. If you can get these people to throw out some positive feelings, they will be in for a big change!

The hardest thing I have found though is to think positive when the world is weighing you down. The answer for me is to think positive thoughts….about thinking positive! Basically the affirmation I repeat to myself over and over is “Thank you for my positive thoughts and feelings. I am feeling relaxed and happy all day today and I am thankful for all the good things in my life.” If you just concentrate on feeling good, then more and more good things will follow.

By the way, after basically giving up that my husband was going to get the job he wanted, one that would drastically improve our lifestyle, I decided for one day to just quit stressing about bills and concentrate on feeling good about all the positives in my life. At 9am I started saying the above affirmation and and at 3pm he got the call offering him the job!

So, does it work? What do you have to lose? Try it, because the worst that can happen is that you’ll feel better, all day long. And the best that can happen? You can achieve all your dreams and desires!
